ABOUT CAP KIDS HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM

The CAP Kids homeschool curriculum is a vibrant, award-winning learning programme designed by experienced South African educators to support families with children from age 1 to Grade 3.
Aligned with NCF ELDAS for preschoolers and CAPS for Foundation Phase learners, it’s packed with fun, colourful, and hands-on activities that make learning at home simple, engaging, and effective.
As a home-based curriculum provider, not an online school, we offer structured, easy-to-follow resources that empower parents to teach with confidence.
CAP Kids is a trusted homeschool curriculum provider, and proud to be a three-time winner of the Best of Ballito Award, recognised for our commitment to educational excellence, community impact, and accessibility.
Our curriculum complies with BELA Act homeschooling requirements, and learners receive completion certificates and termly  reports to support their progress. With seven progressive levels, each tailored to specific age groups, CAP Kids builds essential skills through playful themes, phonics, numeracy, and creative exploration, all delivered weekly in print-ready PDFs or as convenient printed packs straight to your door. Registrations are open year-round and you can join CAP Kids at any time. Simply select your age or Grade level under the ‘membership’ tab on the website. 
 

TO GET STARTED

Are you ready to begin your homeschooling journey? Start by downloading our FREE guide to home education in South Africa, available in the shop section of the website. It’s packed with helpful tips and practical advice to get you started with confidence. Once you’re ready, head over to the membership tab to become a CAP Kids member. There, you can select your child’s age or grade level and choose whether you’d prefer to receive your curriculum digitally via email or WhatsApp, or as a printed pack delivered straight to your door. As a homeschooler, you’ll also need to register directly with the Department of Education. If you need any help with this step, please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Fun Facts
about me

Hello! I’m Miranda, the founder of CAP Kids, established in 2020. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Foundation Phase) and completed two additional years of specialised study in Early Childhood Development. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about creating accessible, engaging learning experiences for young children; especially those in the early years.

I’m also a homeschool mom, which gives me a unique perspective on the challenges and joys of learning at home. This dual lens, classroom and home, shapes the way I design resources that are practical, creative, fun and easy to use.

Outside of education, I’m a proud dog mom to two rescue pups, Abigail and Isabella, and deeply value the love and support of my family. They’re my greatest inspiration.
